Confirmation and Payments
Securing Your Booking
A pre-payment is required to secure your booking. Details regarding this pre-payment will be discussed with your dedicated travel agent.
Full payment
Ultimately, full payment is required before the start of your trip to ensure all providers are paid.
However, we can agree for a deposit upon confirmation with the balance payable in cash upon arrival in Madagascar if the packages confirmed allow it.
Contract
Crucially, a signed contract detailing the terms of your tour will be made before any transactions occur.
Payment Methods
Regarding payments, we accept payments via bank transfer or online credit card. Please note, however, that we do not accept traveler’s checks.
Please note that all bank fees or fees related to payment are in charge of the sender.(Customer)
Providers booking notice
Unless otherwise agreed in writing by FAR Madagascar, no bookings or travel arrangements (hotels, providers, or services) will be initiated until either a signed contract is received from both parties or the initial deposit has been paid. Only the fulfillment of one of these conditions guarantees the hold of your dates and protects against availability gaps.
Pricing
Finally, all prices quoted are per person and are based on the information you provide. Consequently, each quote will clearly specify what is included and excluded.
Cancellation Policy
- For cancellation up to 60 Days Before Tour: The deposit paid is fully refundable, while the Tour Services Fee of your payment is not eligible for a refund.
- Between 60 to 46 Days Before Tour: If you cancel 46 days or more before the tour start date, then 50% of your deposit will be refunded.
- Between 45 and 30 Days Before Arrival: For cancellations made between 45 and 30 days before arrival, consequently, a 15% refund will be issued.
- Within 30 Days of Arrival: No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date.
- Partial Cancellation During Trip: Furthermore, no refunds will be issued for services not consumed if you cancel a part of the trip or services while already on your trip.
Domestic Flights (if included): Refunds for domestic flights included in your package may still be considered, though subject to the airline’s refund policy and the specific flight ticket option purchased. - Any bank or transfer fees incurred when refunding the deposit will be deducted from the amount transferred back to the customer.
Special Cases and Force Majeure
FAR Madagascar is not responsible for refunds or exemptions from payment obligations due to circumstances beyond our control. Indeed, these include, but are not limited to: strikes, flight cancellations or delays, military or political conflicts, travel bans issued by relevant authorities, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events.
Accommodation
Hotel categories
Hotel categories (e.g., star ratings) are based on official awards from authorities. However, if no official rating is available, then our field experience will determine their general type.
Room Types
Double Rooms
Consist of a double room with an extra bed.
Twin Rooms
Consist of two separate single beds.
Single Rooms
Despite often incurring a supplement, single rooms may be smaller and less well-situated than double rooms.
Check-in/Check-out
Rooms are typically assigned in the afternoon of your arrival day and must be vacated on the morning of your departure day, as per hotel policies.
Air Transport
International Flights: While we generally do not arrange international flights, however, we can assist with booking them upon request and if included in your tour package.
Domestic Flights: Domestic flights certainly may be included in certain tour packages.
Flight Schedule Changes: Flight schedules are unfortunately subject to change without prior notice. Consequently, delays or advancements in schedules do not entitle guests to any refunds.
In-Flight Meals: Meals may be served onboard domestic flights. Furthermore, these in-flight meals will replace meals that would have been provided at hotels during the corresponding timeframe and are not eligible for separate refunds.
Flight Delays and Cancellations: The airline company is solely responsible for any delays or cancellations of flights. Therefore, while FAR Madagascar will provide assistance with necessary procedures, the airline is responsible for any applicable compensation.
Boat Transfer
For your safety, FAR Madagascar prioritizes the well-being of our guests and consequently adheres to all travel restrictions imposed by the coast guard due to dangerous weather conditions or tides. In such instances, therefore, cancellations or delays may occur, and no refunds or compensation will be provided. Furthermore, clients will be responsible for any additional expenses incurred due to necessary program modifications. Nevertheless, FAR Madagascar will assist clients in reorganizing their travel plans to the best of our ability.
Other Transport
Please note that in the event of significant fuel price fluctuations, the tour price may be subject to adjustments.
Liability
FAR Madagascar claims no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, injury, sickness, or schedule changes due to weather, strikes, or any other cause beyond FAR Madagascar’s control.
Specifically, FAR Madagascar cannot be held responsible in the following situations:
Firstly, when participants do not show up at the times and places mentioned on their convocation.
Secondly, when participants present identification documents or health documents that are expired or invalid for the country concerned.
Thirdly, when a refusal is issued by the competent authorities for the documents required for entering the country.
Nonetheless, we will make every effort to safeguard our customers and their personal property. Therefore, we strongly advise all customers to have comprehensive travel insurance to meet all contingencies.
Claims
At FAR Madagascar, we strive to provide exceptional travel experiences. To that end, we value your feedback and thus encourage you to share any concerns or suggestions you may have while still in Madagascar. However, if you are unable to do so during your trip, then please contact us via email upon your return.
Furthermore, please note that all information on our website is subject to change. Consequently, FAR Madagascar reserves the right to update or modify information as needed.
Discharge
If any participant chooses not to participate in an activity included in the program, then a discharge form must be signed by the client. Aditionally, all services and activities are included in the package, and therefore, no refund will be issued if a client chooses not to participate in a scheduled activity.
