Madagascar travel information

  • When to go?

The ideal time to explore Madagascar depends on your interests and of course your availability, as the island features distinct climate patterns.

The dry season, from June to September, is favored for its pleasant temperatures and accessible roads, making it perfect for trekking and seeing humpback whales.

Conversely, the shoulder months of April, May, October, and November offer a balance of fewer crowds and vibrant landscapes.

For those captivated by lush greenery and active reptiles, the wet season from December to March transforms the terrain into a tropical haven.

Regardless of the month, Madagascar’s unique biodiversity ensures a remarkable adventure for every traveler.
